These
charts show FAO per cap. production indices for China and India for 1961
to 1995 (with the three-year period 1989-91 = 100). China had a huge increase in per cap.
livestock production. Since 1989-91 it increased by 70%. The per-cap. cereal production
(which includes the directly consumed crops, such as rice and wheat) however stagnated.
However, per cap. crop production in general, which includesfeed
grain increased.
